Dr.
Naoko Harada was born in Japan. She earned a Ph.D. in
Psychiatry from Tokyo Medical & Dental University in Tokyo and
a B. A. in Psychology from Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan.
Her professional knowledge of mental
health is extensive. She has been involved in the study of
the relationship between the body and the mind in both the academic
and clinical fields. For over 20 years Dr. Harada has studied psychology,
psychiatry, and neurophysiology at Tokyo Jikei Medical University
and Tokyo Medical & Dental University while working in the psychiatry
department at Shonan General Hospital in Kanagawa, Japan. She also
worked for seven years with the School Board in Aichi, Japan, counseling
maladjusted children and their parents and holding workshops for
the schoolteachers as well the general public.
Dr. Harada started the study and
practice of integrative medicine, a new concept of psychotherapy
for well-being based on psychology and neurophysiology in the U.S.
and Canada since 1997. She received a certification of BodyTalk
Practitioner and One Brain Practitioner. Integrative
Medicine & Holistic Work aims to unite Western and Oriental
medicine into one. Dr. Harada believes that the concepts are essential
keys for human wellness in 21 century.
