PROGRAMS
REGULAR AND CULTURAL PROGRAM Basic For those who have had little to no background or exposure to the Spanish Language, we offer a dynamic learning method which is accessible to all ages. Skills developed are basic pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary necessary for everyday living. Basic class covers 40 to 60 hours of instruction time, depending on the student's progress. Intermediate At this level, students are able to communicate, and continue to develop their vocabulary. At this level, conversation with native Spanish speakers is stressed, to allow the student to become more comfortable with spontaneous expression and debates on specific issues. Intermediate class covers 20 to 40 hours of instruction time, depending on the student's progress. Advanced For students already quite familiar with the Spanish language, who would like to deepen their grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Writing, expression, literary and cultural knowledge are also featured in a variety of media. These students will benefit from the variety of materials and sources used in the Advanced level. In this level, students and teachers together determine the issues of interest to be studied, as well as the materials, methods and time-frame. MEDICAL SPANISH PROGRAM This program offers the opportunity to learn about medical issues in Latin America, practice medical skills in community clinics while learning Spanish. You will also have a chance to discover exotic places, and experience Ecuador's fascinating culture while living with Ecuadorian families or in hostel environments. The first and second week, students will have an introduction to the Medical Program. Every morning they will receive four hours of Spanish classes. After improving their command of the Spanish language, the students begin their practice in a small popular medical center located in II Mangas or other locations close to Montañita. BUSINESS SPANISH PROGRAM We will teach you how to speak and write business and conversational Spanish by listening and repeating examples and simplified grammar rules. Each topic contains vocabulary with recorded AUDIO, and they are organized in Chapters. This course is ideal for career professionals and business owners who are interested in the legal and financial aspects of conducting business in Ecuador or Latin America in general. VOLUNTEER & ECOLOGIAL PROGRAM Due to the socio-economic needs from which much of the Ecuadorian population suffers (as in other Latin American countries), many different areas have found themselves in need of seeking government and private help in order to maintain living conditions. For this reason, MARAZUL SPANISH SCHOOL, through the volunteer work of young people as well as adults around the world, collaborates with different organizations to carry out projects that promote growth in developing sectors.
