MONTAÑITA

Montañita is a magical beach. The village is located about 150 miles northwest of Guayaquil, It is most easily accessible by car or bus, as it lies on Ecuador's Ruta del Sol.

The structure of the village itself is simple, consisting of a few offshoot streets, all lined with restaurants, hostels, telephone booths, internet cafes and shops. You can get there from Guayaquil taking a bus in the Terminal Terrestre; there is just one bus company (CLP). The times for departure are usually 0500, 1300, and 1630. Please note that the time for the 0500 can vary a little!

Big waves for practicing or learning all year round; Ideal surf place: but Montañita is more than just surfing. It is one of the most interesting villages in South America, multicultural with residents and tourists from all over the world mixing with the local community, as well as having an incredible natural ambience.

Montañita Ecuador is what you want it to be. You can come here to relax and be in touch with nature, enjoy the surfing or discover it's special and unique nightlife; international cuisine and nightclubs, bars, etc.

The combination of a perfect wave, golden sand and tropical environment, have made this place a true paradise. Why study spanish here? Montañita is a multicultural community. Enjoy some surfing lessons, traditional food, and of course, the beach, sun and night life as well.

Arrival in Guayaquil

Our students will be picked up at the airport by school personal and taken to Montañita in a secure and comfortable taxi (for an additional fee), or to a hostel in Guayaquil for one night. Please see our accommodations section.
